Danna Krouham

Hey there! I’m Danna, product & service designer, creator, researcher, and aspiring marathonist pursuing an MFA in Products of Design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Born and raised in Mexico City, I previously completed my bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at Universidad Iberoamericana. Even though I loved it, I wanted to use that knowledge to solve problems with a finer understanding of them, how the problem came to be, who were the relevant stakeholders, and how it impacted them.

I looked to other areas of design and found that UI/UX leveraged interesting methodologies in both problem discovery and problem-solving with a deep understanding of how it’s impacting people. This lead me to become a self-trained UI/UX designer and joined various design firms, where I worked alongside engineers. Continuing my work in the future, it’s important to me that I don’t apply design strategies in the more traditional sense that’s focused on consumerism, but rather focus to solve large, human problems that change people’s behaviors in a positive way.

In summary, I live and breathe design, but I also love food! So please reach out and ask me about design and Turkish, Mexican, Japanese… really any kind of food, and don’t forget dessert!

Oh, and don’t forget, you can find my resume here!
